Rumors of a smaller 13.3-inch Retina MacBook Pro have been revolving ever since Apple launched the 15-inch version back in June. Richard Shim of NPD DisplaySearch told CNET today that a 13.3-inch Retina MacBook Pro is still in pipeline and Apple is expected to launch it after iPad Mini which is coming later this month. He said that he doesnt have any exact date of launch but its surely in Q4 of this year. He further confirmed that the smaller rMBP will have a resolution of 2560 x 1600 in contrast to the 2880 x 1800 on its bigger brother. This resolution will double the number of pixel as compared to the current model. The 13.3-inch rMBP is expected to come at a more consumer friendly price tag as compared to 15-inch version.
