Along with their ROG MATRIX HD 7970, ASUS is also showing off their ROG MARS III graphics card at Computex. MARS III is based on two 28nm GeForce GTX 680 cores which are running in SLI mode on a single PCB. Its expected to have same or higher clocks as compared to reference GeForce GTX 680. ASUS is using a totally redesigned cooling solution for this monster. It has a triple fan dual slot cooler with read and black theme which resembles to the cooler of MARS II (dual GTX 580). Its equipped with three 8-pin PCI Express power connectors and a fan override button which ramps up the fan speed to 100%. For display connectivity, it comes with three DVI ports and one DisplayPort with support for NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround.
There is no solid information about MARS III’s availability or price but its pretty obvious that it’ll cost more than the GeForce GTX 690.
