EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Classified 4GB Goes Beyond 2 GHz GPU Clock Mark

EVGA’s in-house overclocker K|ngp|n has taken the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Classified 4GB graphics card to new heights. He overclocked the core clock of the card to 2,002 MHz and memory to 7.406 GHz. This sets a new world record of highest core clock. Voltage of 1.212v was pushed through the core to achieve these clocks. Intel Core i7-3960X (5.53 GHz) complimented the graphics card along with EVGA X79 Classified motherboard, 16 GB of 2400 MHz G.Skill RipjawsZ and EVGA NEX 1500W PSU to achieve a total score of P16472 marks in 3DMark 11. Both CPU and GPU were cooled by LN2 (liquid nitrogen).
