Fractal Design has been around for a while and they are best known for their unique and minimalistically designed enclosures. Based in Sweden, they follow Scandinavian design theory according to which less is more and each of their products come with a minimalistic but yet striking design. Designers over at Fractal Design don’t forget the quality and functionality of the product while designing it minimalistically and all of this comes at a very competitive price.
In August of 2010, Fractal Design launched Define R2 enclosure which became a huge success among users willing to make silent systems mainly due to its design, features and a very attractive price. Today, we’ll be having a look its successor; Define R4. As the name suggest, it’s the fourth iteration of the Define R series. As its previous models, it’s available in three colors; black pearl, artic white, and titanium grey.
In terms of size, Define R4 is slightly larger than the R3. It has everything its predecessor had and a little bit more which makes it even better. When it comes to price, Fractal Design hasn’t touched it. It costs $109 (£95 in EU) which is same as the Define R3.
We’ve the black pearl version with us. Let’s have a quick look at its specifications before we see it inside out.
