Intel is planning to release LGA 2011-3 Xeon processors in September along with the Haswell-E line up. Previously we reported on the top 5 processors in Haswell-EP E5-2600 v3 line up. Today, we managed to get our hands on some more information regarding the upcoming Xeon SKUs. Specifications and prices of the complete Haswell-EP E5-2600 v3 line up are leaked, revealing a total of 19 SKUs with 6,8,10,12,14,16 and 18 cores respectively.
Haswell-EP E5-2600 v3 is the first series to support DDR4 memory and it is not compatible with last generation chipsets. The new Xeon processors require Intel’s C610 chipset. The new Haswell-E CPUs also utilize the same LGA 2011-3 socket and but the X99 chipset. The flagship processor, Xeon E5-2699 v3 features 18 cores at a price of €3,029 (without tax). Haswell-EP E5-2600 v3 SKUs have a higher TDP compared to last generation Xeon processors and are based on the 22 nm manufacturing process.
