Intel is all set to release its next-gen 8 series chipsets (Lynx Point) in April 2013 along with Haswell based processors which will succeed the current Ivy Bridge processors. Haswell processors will be based on a new socket LGA 1150 and the LGA 1155 based processors will not be compatible with it. These processors will be using the 22nm process and feature an improved architecture, increasing the CPU and graphics performance.
Intel will first launch the performance and mainstream level Haswell processors along with Z87 and H87 chipsets which will be succeeding the current Z77, Z75 an H77 chipsets. The entry level H81 chipsets will be released in June 2013 which will replace the current H61 chipset motherboards.
