Apple recently launched their 4-inch iPhone SE. It was an unexpected move considering how other companies are now going bigger with phones, not smaller but as Apple has always been an advocate of phones that can be used with single hand, the iPhone SE did not come as much of a surprise. The more surprising part was that it looked exactly like the iPhone 5s which was launched in 2013. However, Apple upgraded the internals to be same as the current year model; iPhone 6s.
As the iPhone 5s, the iPhone SE comes with a 4-inch retina display having 1136×640 resolution resulting in 326 ppi. Under the hood, it packs the latest A9 64-bit chip with 2GB of RAM. The CPU is accompanied by the M9 motion coprocessor to track physical activity. In terms of imaging capability, the SE comes with a 12 megapixel with True Tone flash, Live Photos and all the features of iPhone 6s’s shooter like Slo-mo video and 4K recording. However, on the front, Apple opted for the rather old 1.2 megapixel shooter. The iPhone SE also packs the Touch ID. In terms of battery, it comes packing the same battery as the 5s however offers more battery time due to the latest processor.
It starts at $399 for 16GB model and $499 for the 64GB model.
The iPhone SE is mostly praised by the critics but if you are planning to buy it, we would recommend you to go through these written reviews along with some video reviews that follow below:
