Overclocking:
Overclocking of Haswell processors isn’t officially supported on anything other than Z87 chipset based motherboards but due to some bug in the Intel chipsets, you can overclock all the K-series CPUs on non-Z87 motherboards as well. There were some reports that Intel will be fixing this issue but so far there hasn’t been any fix.
We were able to hit a respectable 4.6 GHz with around 1.27v on our Core i7-4770K. This is about the same clock we achieved on the Fatal1ty H87 Performance and this is quite impressive considering the B85 Killer is a $100 motherboard with main focus on gaming.
