Earlier we reported, even with USB 3.0 problems arising in Intel Haswell processors, the launch will proceed as scheduled. ASRock just revealed four motherboards based on Intel Z87, H87 and B85 chipsets which will be launched along with Haswell processors. Although, the launch is still 3 months away but ASRock is keen to show what it has in stores for us.
As we are aware of how ASRock categorizes its motherboards, the Z87 Extreme6 will be a flagship motherboard featuring gold capacitors, four DDR3 RAM slots, two PCI-Ex 3.0 slots with AMD CrossFireX and NVIDIA SLI support, six USB 3.0 ports, 8 USB 2.0 ports and 8 SATA III 6GB/s ports. The display outputs include HDMI, Display Port, DVI and D-Sub.
Next in line is Z87 Pro4-M, its based on micro-ATX form factor with 100% solid capacitors. One PCI-Ex 3.0 slot and one PCI-Ex 2.0 slot supporting AMD CrossFireX, multi-monitor support with built-in display options, twelve USB ports six of them being USB 3.0 and six SATA III 6GB/s ports.
As for budget users, H87 Pro4 will be based on H87 chipset. Supporting Dual Channel memory on four DIMM slots, one PCI-Ex 3.0 slot, 12 USB ports with six USB 3.0 and six USB 2.0. Display outputs include D-Sub and DVI, the motherboard will use Gigabit Ethernet for connectivity.
Intel B85 chipset is designed for business users and ASRock B85M motherboard features four DDR3 RAM slots, one PCI-Ex 3.0 x16 slots, one PCI-Ex x4 slot, two PCI expansion slots supporting AMD CrossFireX, four SATA III 6GB/s and two SATA II 3GB/s ports. It will also include four USB 3.0 ports and eight USB 2.0 ports.
