Computex 2013 hasn’t officially kicked off yet but good things have already started showing up. ASUS held its annual Computex press event earlier today and that’s where they showed their all new and shiny Zenbook Infinity. Externally, the new ultrabook features a very sleek and slim chassis with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lid and keyboard/trackpad panel. It has 3 times the scratch resistance as compared to its predecessor. According to company’s product manager, the ultrabook has been put through various drop tests and it has proven to be solid enough. The glass has also allowed engineers to keep the thickness at 15.5mm only; that’s 14% less than the previous generation Zenbooks.
Internally, the ASUS Zenbook Infinity comes with a 28W ‘U’ series dual-core Haswell processor with Iris 5100 GT3 class graphics. It has a 13.3-inch LED back-lit display and it’ll be offered with 2560×1440 resolution as an optional upgrade. In terms of connectivity options, it has two USB 3.0 ports, a mini HDMI port, mini DisplayPort, headphone jack and an SD card reader.
