ASUS has just announced, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, world’s first smartphone running Qualcomm’s latest and fastest Snapdragon 821 processor. Its the successor to the already fast Snapdragon 820 chip which is present in Galaxy S7 Edge, HTC 10 and some other top-end phones. With four cores and clock speed of 2.4 GHz, the new Snapdragon is reportedly 10% faster then the 820.
In addition to the fastest available processor, rest of the specifications of ZenFone 3 Deluxe are also top notch. It comes packing Ardeno 530 GPU, 6GB of DDR4 RAM and 256GB storage capacity on the top end model. There are total four versions of the phone with choices of different processors, varying RAM and storage sizes. The 128GB and 256GB versions comes with 6GB of RAM and Snapdragon 821. Whereas, the 64GB and 32GB models comes with Snapdragon 820 chip accompanied by 6GB and 4GB of RAM respectively.
At the front and center of the phone is a 5.7-inch full HD super AMOLED display covered in Corning Gorilla Glass 4. In terms of imaging capabilities, it has a 23-megapixel shooter at the back with an F/2.0 lens, dual LED flash, laser auto focus and optical image stabilization. According to ASUS, the camera setup can focus in only 0.3 seconds. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel camera with a wide angle lens. Other features include 4K video recording, a finger print sensor and NFC. In terms of ports, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe comes with USB Type C and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The phone has an all metal unibody design which comes in three colors – Glacier Silver, Titanium Gray and Shimmer Gold. A 3,000 mAh battery powers the phone which can be charged up to 60 percent in just 39 minutes using Quick Charge 3.0. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe will be available later this month running Android 6.0 with brand new ASUS ZenUI 2.0.
