With the advent of 1080P HD GoPro cameras for high quality aerial footage, making videos has become exciting than ever. But such high quality is still much lower than what the mighty Hollywood directors may demand for intense action sequences shot in movies.
The Hollywood Blockbuster films need expensive drones to lift heavy camera equipment that films the exact same quality that Hollywood demands, but this is not feasible till date. Blackmagic Design, a company specializing in drone technology, considered this as an opportunity and came up with a Micro Cinema Camera.
The high end device isn’t your daily-go-take-a-camera type for homeowners. The camera is a RAW cinema and should be able to suffice the Hollywood directors and producers with crisp clear video quality based upon a Super 16 sensor which is 30% than a Micro Four Thirds sensor. It also features RAW video with 13 stops of dynamic range.
The Pocket Cinema Camera (BMPCC), weighs around 354 grams. Currently, BlackMagic has not yet revealed the camera, but it is expected to be unveiled most probably by tomorrow.
