The Sony Paris Games Week showcase revealed the first Call of Duty: WWII map pack. It’s called The Resistance and it releases on January 30th for the PS4. The DLC launches for PS4 30 days before it is launched for the Xbox One and PC, meaning that they will be getting the DLC somewhere around late Febuary or early March. Three more map packs are expected to be released after The Resistance, although no details about them have been revealed yet.
In addition to the Resistance, the shooter will also receive a bonus map which is a remaster of the classic map from the original, Carentan. However, it’s going to be exclusive to holders of the Season Pass which costs $50 in the US.
The most recent entry in the Call of Duty franchise is set in World War II, one of the most brutal wars of human history. This entry takes the series back to its boots on the ground roots, much to the pleasure of fans of the series who had been asking for a return to the World War II setting for a long time now. It will feature three different game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Co-operative. The campaign will take players to Europe to take part in historic World War II battles. Multiplayer marks a return to boots on the ground game play, with authentic weapons and traditional run-and-gun action. The Co-Operative mode unleashes a new and original story in a standalone game experience full of unexpected, adrenaline-pumping moments.
Call of Duty: WWII launches for Xbox One, PS4, and PC on November 3. You can pre-order it here.
