Today, Corsair announced a 32 GB Dominator GT Quad-Channel DDR3 kit to work Intel’s upcoming X79 chip set motherboards and LGA 2011 processors based on Sandy Bridge-E architecture. The quad channel kit consists of four memory modules with 8 GB of memory each.
These sticks go through serious testing and validation to get rated speeds of 1866 MHz with 9-10-9-27 timings in quad channel mode at 1.5V only. It uses a specially designed PCB which cools the memory ICs both from front and back. Furthermore, the heat is dissipated by the DHX+ heat sinks that are found on all Dominator GT kits.
Talking about the new 32 GB Dominator GT kit, Thi La, Vice President of Memory Products at Corsair said, “The new Dominator 32GB Quad Channel memory kit is designed for high-performance PC enthusiasts using the latest motherboards, whether they’re overclockers, gamers, or simply want a large amount of state-of-the-art memory,”. He further added, “Corsair is a market leader in high-performance memory, and we’re pleased to be first to market with a high-performance 32GB quad channel kit,”.
These quad channel kits can also be used with dual channel Sandy Bridge (LGA 1155) motherboards that can support up to this amount of memory.
