G.Skill, established in 1989, is one the best memory product manufacturers in the world. They emphasize on providing great products and an even greater after sales service. All of the G.Skill memory products are put through rigorous testing and strict quality control procedures to clear out any issues which can bother consumers, this is one of the reasons they haven’t put out a SATA III 6 GB/s solid state drive as yet. They simply didn’t find it stable enough to be good for their customers but that’s what we are here to talk about.
Today we’ll be reviewing an SSD from previous generation. It’s the G.Skill Phoenix EVO 115 GB SSD. Having a SandForce SF-1222 controller under the hood, it uses SATA II 3 GB/s. If offers read and write speeds of up to 280 MB/s and 270 MB/s respectively. The Phoenix EVO SSD is available in only one capacity that is 115 GB and it uses Mircon 25nm asynchronous MLC NAND.
