GIGABYTE announced A75N-USB3 mini-ITX motherboard specifically made for HPTC applications. Its socket FM1 motherboard based on the AMD A75 chipset and comes with USB 3.0 support. It has almost everything a HTPC can benefit from. To begin with, it supports AMD A-Series APUs (Accelerated Processing Units), which come with up to 4 cores, 4 MB cache, integrated controller supporting DDR3-1866 in dual channel mode and a powerful Radeon HD 6500 series graphics processor. Motherboard is powered by a 24-pin ATX connector while CPU gets its power from a 4-pin CPU power connector. Power is delivered to the socket by a 3+1 VRM phase power circuitry. There are two DDR3 DIMM slots wired to the socket, they can support up to 32 GB of DDR3-1866 memory in dual channel mode.
For expansion slots, we have only one PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot. On-board display connectivity options include four SATA III 6Gbps ports and pin header for two front panel USB 2.0 ports. There are two BIOS EEPROM chips on-board, to offer DualBIOS, despite of its small size. It features HybirdEFI, which ensures support for drives bigger than 2.2 TB.
Back I/O has four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port along with HDMI 1.4a and DVI ports for utilizing the integrated GPU of the APU. The 5+1 channel HD audio is handled by Realtek ALC889 HD audio codec while the Realtek RTL8111E PCIe chip gives a gigabit Ethernet port to the back I/O.
