GIGABYTE has revealed three of its flagship X99 motherboards in the past two weeks but without any information on the pricing. Today, Aria PC has put two of the Gaming series boards on pre-order, X99 Gaming G1 WiFi and X99 Gaming 7. Unfortunately, we have yet to see any images of X99 Gaming 7 but we have a fair amount of information on X99 Gaming G1 WiFi. Both motherboards are designed for Intel’s upcoming Haswell-E HEDT processors and are equipped with Intel’s X99 chipset supporting DDR4 memory.

GIGABYTE’s X99 Gaming G1 WiFi (pictured above) features eight DDR4 DIMM slots surrounding the LGA 2011-3 socket. The motherboard is designed for gamers and its the flagship offering in the Gaming G1 series line up. Four black and red heatsinks are interlinked with each other through nickel plated heatpipes. For expansion, there are four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots and a M.2 PCIe slot pre-occupied by the 802.11 ac WiFi module. Aria PC is taking pre-orders for X99 Gaming G1 WiFi at £299.94 inclusive of VAT. United Kingdom imposes heavy taxes on electronics so we assume that the motherboard will be available for $299.99 in the United States.
Additional specifications include two SATA Express ports, six SATA 6 GB/s ports, USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports and a Debug LED along with dual UEFI BIOS. X99 Gaming G1 WiFi also features the exclusive SoundCore 3D audio module with AMP-UP technology and filter caps. It comes with upgradeable OP-AMP and Killer E2200 gaming grade LAN chip.
On the other hand, we do not have a clear view of specifications for the X99 Gaming 7 motherboard since the company did not reveal any information regarding it. Secondly, Aria PC has made some very noticeable mistakes in their listing such as mentioning DDR3 in the title, wrong expansion slots layout etc. We know for sure because their listed specifications for X99 Gaming G1 WiFi contradicts with what we know at the moment.
Anyways, judging from the Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard we can assume that X99 Gaming 7 is a cut down version of the flagship model in the series. X99 Gaming 7 will feature eight DDR4 DIMM slots, three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, three PCIe 3.0 x1 slots and a M.2 slot. It will not come with a WiFi module so the M.2 slot can be used for SFF solid state drives. Additionally, the motherboard will also feature SATA Express ports and SATA 6 GB/s ports. X99 Gaming 7 incorporates SoundCore 3D technology as well as Killer E2200 LAN port for lag free gaming. It is available for £249.54 at Aria PC but expected price in the US is around $250.
Intel’s Haswell-E HEDT processors will be launched on August 29th, 2014 so both of these motherboards will be available at the same date worldwide. X99 Gaming G1 WiFi and X99 Gaming 7 come with 3 years warranty as listed on Aria PC’s website. Below are the images of the other two motherboards revealed by GIGABYTE.
