Portability is gaining trend in the world of technology, aesthetics are more important than ever urging gamers to make their battlestations clean and gorgeous. High-end enthusiast consumers aside, manufacturers are setting their focus on LAN gamers as well as small factor lovers and GIGABYTE is no exception. GIGABYTE has launched X99M Gaming 5 micro-ATX motherboard for Haswell-E users supporting Intel’s latest HEDT micro-processors.
GIGABYTE X99M Gaming 5; three PCIe slots, dual M.2 slots and Killer LAN
GIGABYTE X99M Gaming 5 is now the forth option in mATX form factor for Haswell-E users. What sets it apart from other motherboards is the utilization of all 40 PCIe lanes from the CPU spread across three PCIe slots in x16/x16/x8 configuration. Obviously, users with Core i7-5820K will have only 28 PCIe lances to play with. Three PCIe slots on board support dual GPU configurations and quad GPU configurations with dual GPU single cards.
All the exclusive technologies from high-end Gaming series motherboards are available in X99M Gaming 5 including dual M.2 ports for SSD and WiFi module. The board also features GIGABYTE’s upgraded Realtek ALC 1150 audio chip with OP-AMP technology and the Ambient LED system at the back I/O shield.
In terms of connectivity, X99M Gaming 5 features Killer Ethernet, two SATA Express and six SATA 6 GB/s ports, four DAC-UP USB 2.0 ports. two standard USB 2.0 ports and four USB 3.0 ports. GIGABYTE has also included legacy PS2 mouse and keyboard ports. Ultra Durable components will ensure higher overclocking potential and system reliability.
There is no confirm word on the pricing as yet but taking in to the consideration the prices of current X99 mATX motherboards, expect X99M Gaming 5 to be priced somewhere near the $250 mark.
