Its not a secret anymore that Google is dropping the Nexus brand and launching their new phones on Oct 4 under the Pixel brand. According to several reports, two new phones will be launched – Pixel and Pixel XL.
Thanks to Evan Blass, the smartphone leaks guru, VentureBeat has gotten hands on a press render of the upcoming Pixel phone. The leaked render shows that the phone is not much different from Nexus 5X with its plain front. There is a speaker grill up to with some sensors and a front facing camera.
According to Android Police, the Pixel will be the smaller of the two with a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core 2.0GHz 64-bit processor, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 2770 mAh battery, a 12MP rear camera, and an 8MP front camera. The bigger Pixel XL will come with a 5.5-inch QHD display along-with a bigger 3450mAh battery and a slightly powerful processor.
There is no solid information about pricing yet but some reports suggest that the smaller Pixel smartphone will start at $649.
