Haswell-E launch confirmed in September; Core i3 & Pentium in July

The all new LGA 2011-3 based Haswell-E processors are set for launch in September this year. Haswell-E launch has been confirmed by a leaked document obtained by VR-Zone Chinese. The document also reveals that Haswell Refresh Core i3 and Pentium processors will launch on July 20th, 2014. Haswell-E line up consists of Core i7-5960X, Core i7-5930K and Core i7-5820K. The Core i3 and Pentium line up consists of four new processors each.

Haswell-E launch in September; New Details Emerge

The flagship Core i7-5960X will feature 8 cores and 16 threads with Hyper Threading enabled. The processor has a base frequency of 3.0 GHz with 20 MB L3 cache. Haswell-E is the first platform to support DDR4 memory which is already selling in Japan for $355. Multi-GPU configurations are also supported by Core i7-5960X with first two GPUs running at x16 speeds while the third one will operate at x8 speeds. It will support a maximum PCIe Link Speed up to 8 GT/s and 140W TDP.

Core i7-5930K and Core i7-5820K both feature 6 cores and 12 threads with 15 MB L3 cache. The former comes with a 3.3 GHz base clock and the latter with 3.5 GHz respectively. Core i7-5930K features the same multi-GPU configuration as the flagship Core i7-5960X. The entry level Core i7-5820K supports x16 + x8 + x4 multi-GPU configuration. All three processors have native support for 2133 MHz DDR4 memory.
