The Huawei Mate 10 Pro has secured an impressive score of 97 in the DxOMark – which is a renowned digital photography test used for scoring and analyzing cameras. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro features a dual camera which was designed in collaboration with German firm Leica.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro’s dual camera combines a 12MP RGB sensor with a 20MP monochrome sensor and offers an aperture of f/1.6. This results in pictures that are clear, especially in low-light conditions. Where the Huawei Mate 10 Pro shines is in its top quality exposure, especially in indoor situations. It produces a great wide-aperture mode, which results in a mild and attractive bokeh effect. The Huawei Mate 10 Pro also produced good test results in the video department, managing a score of 91 points. The phone features a video auto-focus feature which is fast and accurate, has great tracking abilities along with an overall low level of noise.
When taking a photo, both cameras will be combined to take the picture and the results will be laid on top of each other. In effect more detail is gathered with the 20MP monochrome sensor and then the 12MP RGB sensor is used to add color.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro features an AI-tech technology which is used to detect motion through the sensor to optimize for the best shot. The AI will work behind the scenes, and will allow you to automatically detect what you’re shooting. The Mate 10 can figure out which object you are trying to shoot and then optimizes the settings on the camera accordingly.
