Intel readies 5.1 GHz Xeon E5-2602 V4 Broadwell CPU

It seems like the Gigahertz race is back and a latest report from MyDrivers suggests that Intel is has prepared a Broadwell based Xeon chip with a staggering 5.1 GHz clock. The Xeon E5-2602 V4 is a quad-core chip however being based on the 14nm Broadwell-EP silicon it has eight cores, half of them are disabled. It comes with 10MB of L3 cache, quad core DDR4 memory support and 165W of TDP. This will be the first Intel CPU to feature the 5 GHz+ clock speed however we are yet to see such a CPU on the desktop side of things.
