Haven’t upgraded to Haswell Core i7 yet?, you might just want to put that thought on hold if you are not an overclocker because Intel will launch Core i7-4771 in September. According to a report by VR-Zone, Haswell Core i7-4771 and Core i3 processors will be launched on September 1st, 2013.
Earlier this month, a leaked roadmap revealed what Intel is planning ahead though it mainly focused on upcoming Ivy Bridge-E processors, it also shed some light on the Core i7-4771 processor. This got us thinking that why would the company replace the current Core i7-4770 so soon? and what could it possibly change in the upcoming chip?. It will be clocked at 3.50 GHz with a Turbo Boost upto 3.90 GHz, but still lack an unlocked multiplier like the Core i7-4770 currently available. It will have a TDP of 84W and Intel HD 4600 graphics clocked at 1200MHz effectively.
Moving on to the Core i3 lineup, it will include a total of five variants three of them being standard desktop CPUs while two will be the low power versions. Along with Core i3, Intel will also launch Haswell based Pentium processors which will also include a total of five models, three being standard and two featuring a low TDP of 35W.
Intel Ivy Bridge-E socket LGA 2011 processors are also expected to launch in September this year. It will include three models, leading the pack is Core i7-4960X with 3.60 GHz core frequency and a Turbo Boost up to 4.00 GHz with 12 MB cache, next in line is Core i7-4930K and lastly Core i7-4820K. All three processors will feature an unlocked multiplier.
