No memory review would be complete without overclocking. Test on the previous page were conducted at 1600 MHz; native speed of the rams. Now we would be moving forward to see and check the overclocking capabilities of these rams. Memory overclocking with tighter timings help a lot in yielding decent benchmark scores as well as transfer rates.
We started off by tightening the timings at 1600 MHz and were successful in churning out pretty good timings. The rams successfully ran at 1600 MHz with 7-8-7-24 timings on stock voltage. After this successful feat we overclocked the rams above its XMP frequency. We were able to achieve the next speed of 1866 on decent timings of 9-11-10-28.
Next up we tried different configurations to see if we can go any further with this kit or not and surprisingly enough the kit did not disappoint us at all. We were able to achieve 2133 MHz with timings of 10-11-11-28 with ease. Since the kit had impressed us a lot we decided to go even further with overclocking it and we were successful in achieving a staggering 2244 MHz at 11-11-11-30 timings with slightly raised voltage of 1.70v.
We tested a bunch of overclocks to see how the performance scales with the changing in frequency and timings.
