Microsoft Office for Mac 2011 Gets Retina Support

Microsoft announced full compatibility of Office for Mac 2008 and 2011 with Mountain Loin when Apple launched the new OS back in July but Microsoft didn’t talk anything about the support for the already released MacBook Pro’s Retina display. Outlook 2011 was the only app with Retina support until now but as spotted by Saumitra Bhagwat of AnandTech, Microsoft has pushed a latest update (14.2.4) for the Office for Mac 2011 and it brings support for retina rendering on retina equipped MacBook Pro.

The latest update to the Office for Mac 2011 also brings some new features to the Outlook. Users can get the latest release via AutoUpdate or it can be manually downloaded from here.
