Motorola has been on a roll making great budget phones. It all started with the Moto X released last year which had top end specs for not a lot of money. Motorola then followed it up with the Moto G, which retails for around $180 and has the same specs you’ll find in phones that cost twice as much. The phone ended up becoming the largest selling in Motorola’s history. Today the company is raising the bar even higher for budget phones with the announcement of Moto E.
Looks wise the Moto E is pretty similar to Moto X and Moto G. It has the same curved design that would feel comfortable in the hands. Motorola claims it is resistant to water splashes. The phone comes with a 4.3-inch qHD screen with a pixel density of 253. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz dual core CPU with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal memory. The memory can be expanded via microSD cards. At the back is a 5MP camera with no LED flash. The battery measures 1980mAh and the phone itself measures 124.8 x 64.8 x 12.3mm and weighs 140g.
Moto E comes with Android 4.4.2 out of the box and Motorola is promising timely updates in the future. Motorola Moto E is available in Black, Turquoise and Lemon color options. Motorola is also including 3 color covers to let you personalize your phone. The phone will launch today in launch today in India, UK, Brazil, Mexico, Spain, Canada.
