The reference clock speeds of GTX 970 are not yet revealed so we are not sure of the memory clock of GTX 970 Gaming 4G. What we do know is that the GPU comes with 1140 MHz core clock with GPU Boost up to 1279 MHz. The 4G stands for 4 GB GDDR5 memory spread across a 256-bit memory interface. Our assumption is that GTX 970’s memory will be clocked at 7000 MHz but its not officially confirmed yet. The card has a TDP rating of 148 W with the beast heatsink in place. Although, 2 x 6-pin PCI connectors would have been enough to cover the TDP but MSI has included 8-pin + 6-pin connectors to give users more overclocking headroom. MSI GTX 970 Gaming comes with standard display outputs – DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI and Displayport instead of DVI-I, HDMI and three Displaports on the reference GTX 970.
