Beamdog, which is a studio made up of primarily ex-Bioware employees, is releasing an “enhanced” edition of the classic 2002 RPG Neverwinter Nights. Coming out for the PC, the name suggests a full HD remake, however the enhancements anywhere near that extensive.
The enhancements are limited to some UI changes, the menu scaling properly up to 4k, and the inclusion of effects like depth of field, pixel shaders, and post-processing.
You can check it out in the trailer below to see what it looks like:
Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition includes the base game, along with Shadows of Undrentide, Hordes of the Underdark, Pirates of the Sword Coast, Infinite Dungeons, Wyvern Crown of Cormyr and two soundtracks.
It’s going to cost you $20 when it’s released somewhere in the near future. Worth a buy just for the nostalgia alone, in my opinion. The new version will be compatible with any old saves you may have lying around.
