Rumors of an upcoming GeForce Gk110 based consumer graphics card have been making rounds on the internet for last week or so. There is no clear mention of what exactly NVIDIA is making or how they are going to fit the rumored GeForce ‘Titan’ in their already complete line-up. However, guys over at PCinLife have apparently got hold of the said GeForce Titan graphics card. They ran the 3DMark 11 benchmark and the results turned out to be amazing. It scored 7107 points in the Xtreme preset of the benchmark. That is over twice of what GeForce GTX 680 or Radeon HD 7970 scores in the same benchmark. Furthermore, even the GeForce GX 690 scores around 6000 points in 3DMark 11 Xtreme preset.
Results of this benchmark should be taken with a grain a salt but if these are actually true then hardware enthusiasts and gamers are in for a big treat. According to a story published by SweClockers last month, the GeForce Titan will be launched this month with a price tag of $899.
