Its been known for quite a while that Razer has been working on an Android based high-end smartphone for gaming but there has not been much information about it until now. 3G, a UK based carrier, mistakenly listed the Razer Phone on their website as they gear up for its launch tomorrow.
The Razer Phone listing page revealed some highlight features of the along with its design. The main feature of the phone is its 5.72-inch IGZO display. It has 120Hz refresh rate which is common among gaming displays these days and also comes in iPad Pro. Additionally, the display will also support wide color gamut. That covers the visual part of the gaming. For audio, the Razer Phone comes equipped with dual front facing speakers with Dolby ATMOS and THX certification. It is yet known that which SoC will be powering this handheld gaming device from Razer but our money is on Snapdragon 835 as its the latest and most power mobile chip available right now. It will be coupled with a beefy RAM of 8GB. The listing page on 3G’s website was for the 64GB version of the phone but given Razer’s aim to do the best, we won’t be surprised to see a 128GB or even a 256GB version.
Being in line with 2017 standards, the Razer Phone will come with dual cameras on the back with LED flash. One of the these is a 12MP, F1.75 wide angle sensor while the other is a 13MP F2.6 zoom sensor. To power all this up, Razer has equipped the phone with a 4000mAh battery and Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+.
The image that was on 3G’s website looks a lot like Nextbit’s phone; the company which Razer recently acquired. It could very well be a placeholder image but as the official launch is tomorrow so we won’t have to wait much for the company to announce it.
