Gamescon 2013 is not all about new game reveals or trailers, prestigious gaming peripherals manufacturers also take this opportunity to launch new products. ROCCAT has just unveiled its new Kave XTD 5.1 Digital gaming headset the successor of the original Kave 5.1 headset.
The Kave XTD 5.1 Digital is built on the foundations set by the world’s best selling headset, the ROCCAT Kave 5.1. It includes a fully-equipped desktop remote with a built-in high-end 5.1 soundcard. The headset’s desktop remote also comes with an exclusive ROCCAT Smart Link feature which allows users to connect their smartphones via Bluetooth that enables them to receive or make calls during their long gaming sessions. Another amazing feature on the desktop remote is that it includes 3.5 mm jacks at the back, allowing users to hook up their 5.1 speaker system and easily toggle between headset and speaker audio output.
Just like its predecessor, the Kave XTD 5.1 Digital also provides the true 5.1 experience with better functionality. It is equipped with three driver units in each cup, angled at 12° resulting in crisp and clear sound quality. It weighs approximately 25% less than the original Kave 5.1 headset and features a new headband design. The new design is very comfortable for long hours of gaming sessions and not to forget the new and improved detachable mic which now comes with a mute LED while improving the overall sound quality.
ROCCAT Kave XTD 5.1 Digital is already in the good books of Gamescon 2013 jury and has been nominated for the “Best Hardware” award. The headset will be available in November 2013 with a price tag of 169.99 Euro.
