ROCCAT Kone XTD is an ideal mouse. It looks simple but it offers a lot of interesting things like Omron switches, 8200 DPI R3 laser sensor, precise tracking, ergonomic design, 12 reprogrammable buttons, Titan Wheel, Easy-Shift[+]button duplicator and an excellent configuration software. Its build quality is top notch and it produces no fortuitous sounds, creaks, or flex during hardcore gaming sessions.

I was actually pretty surprised that how good this mouse is because I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. I expected it to be just another mouse from a not-so-popular company but as soon as I took it out from the packaging and laid my hands on it, I felt an immediate urge to plugin it in and start using it. With new mice coming in every other day from several manufacturers, this urge is a pretty rare thing and it pretty much defines that Kone XTD is a very well designed mouse which immediately starts feeling like an extension of your hand.

Priced at $90, this mouse seems to a bit expensive and with great products from other brands like Razer and Logitech with lower price, the Kone XTD seems to be a hard sell. However, in my opinion, it offers good value for money and anyone who is looking for great laser mouse should definitely keep the Kone XTD on the top of list. I wouldn’t think twice before recommending it to anyone, hence it earns our ‘Recommended’ product award.
