Samsung had a successful event tonight revealing many new products including the replacement for its current Series 9 Ultrabooks, ATIV Book 9. The company announced two versions ATIV Book 9 Plus and ATIV Book 9 Lite, both Ultrabooks feature a 13-inch display with latest AMD and Intel processors.
Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus is the flagship 13-inch Ultrabook with a massive 3200 x 1800 resolution. The Ultrabook is powered by Intel’s 4th generation Core i5/i7 processors depending on the configuration. Some of the unique features of the Ultrabook include the coating of the display with Gorilla Glass along with 72% color gamut. The company also made some improvements to its backlit keyboard and touchpad compared to its predecessor Series 9. Secondly, users will have two hinge options, ATIV Book 9 Plus can be tilted to 105 degrees or a full 180 degrees.
Samsung also made some changes to the touch display as it has opted for OCR bonding this time which will improve the overall user experience according to the company’s representatives. Intel Haswell processors have the privilege of being world’s most energy efficient chips resulting in ATIV Book 9 Plus’s battery timing to a massive 12 hours.
