Samsung has just announced two mid-range phones for the Chinese market. The new Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 are fairly similar in terms of their metallic design and come with mid-end specifications. The Galaxy C line from Samsung is their latest range of smartphone for the mid-end market.
The Galaxy C5 is smaller of the two with a 5.2-inch super AMOLED full HD display and a full metal chassis:
- 5.2-inch Super AMOLED full HD display
- Snapdragon 617 SoC
- 4GB of RAM
- 32GB of storage, with 128GB capacity microSD slot
- 16MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera
The Galaxy C7 comes with a 5.7-inch display and falls in the phablet category. The C7 is a slightly beefed up version of the C5 with only differences being the bigger display and slightly faster processor:
- 5.7-inch SuperAMOLED full HD display
- 2.0GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC with Adreno 506 GPU
- 32GB and 64GB variations
- 3300mAh battery
Furthermore, both phones are running Android 6.0 and have a fingerprint scanner at the home button. Both the phones have an uncanny resemblance to the iPhone 6/6s. Samsung is offering their phones in colors similar to the iPhone – gold, pink-gold, grey, silver.
The Samsung Galaxy C5 and C7 are only meant for Chinese market only and are available for $330 and $390 at the moment however there is some chance of them being available in US and other regions.
