The Galaxy Note 3 is Samsung’s latest and greatest Android smartphone. The successor to the highly successful Note 2 brought in tons of new software as well as hardware upgrades. The stitched leather was a welcome change from the glossy plastic. If there was any negative about this phone it would be the outdated Android 4.3 that it was running. Than changes today as Samsung Galaxy Note 3 KitKat update begins rolling out to several regions across the world.
Galaxy Note 3 KitKat update brings in several new features to the phone. It includes UI tweaks from Samsung, and platform specific updates from Google such as an immersive mode and transparent notification bar. The update is for both the Exynos and Snapdragon version of the phone. So far it is being reported that India, South Korea, and Switzerland have received the update. This should expand to more regions in the coming days.
To check whether your phone has received the update, simply check it manually from the settings menu. It is sized around 380MB. The update brings the phone to Android 4.4.2.
