Samsung is, by quite a margin, the biggest cellphone manufacturer in the world. Having this status gives the company the leverage to try various different devices and see which one becomes a hit with the customers. For 2014 we’re expecting Samsung to release new flagships such as the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5. But according to a report, Samsung is planning on releasing at least 5 new phones just by the beginning of the 2014. This includes a Galaxy Note 3 Lite.
Galaxy Note 3 Lite is basically a cheaper version of the Galaxy Note 3. According to the report, Samsung is working on two different versions of the phone, one with a 5.5-inch screen and the other with a 5.7-inch screen. Other cost cutting measures include a lower megapixel camera, a glossy plastic finish and an LCD display instead of an AMOLED one. The rest of the specs are reported to be identical to the current Galaxy Note 3.
Other phones include the Galaxy S5. We’ve already heard a lot about this phone. Samsung is expected to unveil it by March 2014, which is just shy of a year after Galaxy S4 was released. Galaxy Grand 2 will also be officially launched in Korea by early 2014. Samsung has already officially announced the phone. Galaxy Grand Lite, yet another phone, is also slated for an early 2014 release. It differs from the Grand 2 by offering a lower megapixel camera, and hence a lower price.
