MSI X99S Gaming 9 AC

Price: $429 (Amazon)

Moving on to the Gaming series line up, MSI has released two motherboards. The flagship X99S Gaming 9 AC is the motherboard of all gaming motherboards thanks to the addition of AVer Media streaming engine. This very unique idea helps the on going trend of live streaming gameplay videos. The streaming engine takes away the encoding load from the CPU and the GPU so the frame rate is not effected while you broadcast your gameplay to the viewers. Secondly, no compromises are made in the specifications segment as it features a 8 phase VRM design, four PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, M.2 slot, six SATA 6 GB/s ports, two SATA Express ports, OC Buttons and plenty of USB 3.0 ports. It also features the Audio Boost technology which is protected by some kind of shield.

Price: $289 (Amazon)

The entry level X99S SLI Plus is targeted towards the mass market who are looking to jump the Haswell-E platform but at a tight budget.
